Easy&Fast Look: Summer Edition.

Disculpad mi ausencia, pero el trabajo me ha tenido un poco ocupada y no he tenido demasiado tiempo de hacer ningún look que pudiera ser decente para el blog (casi todo era súper simple!) pero hoy estoy de vuelta con un look ultra fácil y rápido, y creo que ideal para verano.

Sorry about being absent, but work kept me very busy and I didn´t have time to do cool makeup looks for the blog, I´ve been doing very simple looks lately due to the lack of time. I´m back today with the easiest and fastest look ever, and super cool for summer!

A vuestra elección dejo el aplicaros base o no, pero este siguiente paso es muy necesario: aplicar una prebase de sombra de ojos.
Lo siguiente es realizar un eyeliner con vuestra sombra de ojos favorita. Os recomiendo ir despacio y a toquecitos, y luego no olvidéis de repasar donde no haya quedado tan saturado el color de la sombra. Para asegurarme 100% que la sombra no se iba a mover, con la misma brocha apliqué un poco de polvo traslúcido encima y ya está hecho. Podéis hacerlo mas corto, mas largo, como siempre eso a gusto de cada uno.
Después un toquecito de colorete, labial, dos buenas capas de máscara de pestañas y ya estáis maquillad@s.
You can apply foundation or not, you have a choice (most of all because if you leave on a country like mine, where we have extremely hot summer, wearing foundation it´s a total nightmare!) but the next step you have to do it, and it´s to apply an eyeshadow base. After that, with your favourite eyeshadow color just draw your eyeliner. Make sure to go slow, and making little strokes. Wing it as much as you want (I went for a very long one) and you´re done. To make sure that the eyeshadow it´s not going anywhere, apply with the same brush some traslucent powder on top.
Then, apply a little bit of blush, some lipstick and two coats of mascara, and that´s all folks!

Creo que es un look muy fácil de hacer, y sobre todo ahorra espacio en el neceser si te vas de viaje y quieres llevar lo justo y necesario.
I think it´s a very simple look, great for summer and also saves a little bit of space on your cosmetic bag if you´re travelling.

Trendy techniques: Strobing!

De nuevo perdonad mi ausencia, pero he estado (y sigo) enferma, la voz decidió abandonarme y cada vez que me pasa me quedo sin demasiadas ganas de hacer nada, pero ya estoy por aquí!
Hoy estoy de vuelta con una técnica de maquillaje que seguro que mas de una la habrá usado mas de una vez sin darse cuenta, pero ahora mismo es la última novedad en maquillaje.

I´m here today with one makeup technique that I´m very sure more than one used without realizing it, but now it´s the trendiest thing of the moment!

Como bien sabeis, el "contouring" o la técnica del claroscuro ha sido tendencia durante mucho tiempo, gracias sobre todo a Kim Kardashian a raíz de una foto que subió mostrando como su maquillador contorneaba su rostro. Desde ese momento el contorno a lo Kardashian ha estado de tendencia de manera indudable.
As you may know, the contouring has been a big tendency on makeup, thanks to that famous photo of Kim Kardashian and her face all contoured without blending. From that moment, the Kardashian contour style has been the tendency to sculpt faces.

El contorno, por si acaso no lo sabéis, es una técnica que básicamente se usa para corregir el rostro usando tonos oscuros y claros, creando sombras y luces donde son necesarias para realzar los rasgos y corregir las facciones.
The contouring, just in case you don´t know what it is, is just a technique that helps to correct the features on your face using darker and light colors, creating shades and lights on the face where needed.

Pero ahora el "contouring" (que hasta en España han lanzado los productos que han hecho específicos para ello tanto Maybelline como L´Oréal) tiene un competidor firme, y es el "strobing".
But now, the contouring (that here on Spain recently we got the products from Maybelline and L´Oréal created for that) has a very strong opponent, and that´s the strobing.

En la pasarela de Otoño/Invierno celebrada este año en París, la maquilladora Alex Box realizó este look para Issey Miyake, en el cual se veía un rostro contorneado, pero muy luminoso.
On the Fashion Week of Autumn/Winter of this year in Paris, the makeup artist Alex Box created this look for the designer Issey Miyake, where you can see a very light contour and loads of luminosity.

Y eso es el strobing, usar el iluminador para realizar el contorno del rostro, sin usar ningún color oscuro. Se aplica en los puntos donde naturalmente la luz cae en el rostro, y se crea un efecto mucho más natural y fresco en la piel, a parte de dejarlo con una luminosidad increíble. Y solo se necesita un iluminador al gusto de la persona, trabajarlo bien en la piel y listo.
Para verano es una técnica en alza, ya que se usan menos productos que haciendo el contorno clásico y deja un look mucho más natural.
And basically, that´s the strobing technique. Use highlighter instead of darker shades to contour your face. The highlighter is placed on the points of the face where naturally the light hits the skin and you end up with a luminous, radiant and fresh look without using layers and tons of makeup. You just need a highlighter, work it on your skin and you´re ready to go. For summer it´s great, because you use less products and your skin won´t feel as heavy. And the look is ultra natural.

A mi me parece una técnica muy fácil de usar, que el único contra que tiene es que hay que tener un poco de cuidado con la cantidad de iluminador que se usa (para no pasarse) pero creo que es muy natural y para gente que esté empezando a interesarse en el contorno puede ayudarle a coger práctica.
I think that it´s a great technique very easy to use, that the only "dangerous" thing is only that you have to be careful with the amount of highlighter to don´t look like a disco ball. But also I think is great for people who´s starting with contour but they don´t feel ready for the whole process.

Mis productos favoritos para iluminar son el Mineralize Skin Finsh de MAC en Lightscapade y el HD Sculpting Powder  #503 de Inglot. El de MAC tiene un brillo mas intenso, y el de Inglot es más sutil, pero ambos quedan espectaculares en la piel.
My favourite products to highlight are the Mineralize Skin Finish from MAC in Lightscapade and the HD Sculpting Powder #503 from Inglot. The MAC one shines more, and the Inglot powder is a little bit more subtle, anyways both look amazingly good on the skin!

Hola y bienvenidos de nuevo al blog de LorMakeup! Mi nombre es Rouge y mi blog es  RougeSalvatore.com y me haré cargo de su post hoy como blogger invitado. Muchas gracias a  Lor por darme la bienvenida de nuevo a su blog, esta vez para hablar de mis productos favoritos de este verano. Así que vamos a ello. 

First up I have Lancome’s Bi Facil. This is a eye makeup remover that literally takes everything off with just one swipe. That’s what I really love about it. I pour some onto a cotton ball and all my eyeshadow, mascara, primer, foundation, general nonsense is all gone. I’m able to go to sleep a lot faster and don’t have to worry about clumps of my mascara falling into my eye and getting irritated.

En primer lugar tengo el Lancome Bi Facil. Este es un desmaquillante de ojos que, literalmente, elimina todo con una sola pasada. Eso es lo que realmente me gusta. Pongo un poco en un trozo de algodón y toda mi sombra, máscara, primer, base, todo se va. Puedo irme mucho antes a dormir y no tener que preocuparme de los trocitos de máscara entrando en mi ojo e irritándolo.

My newest favorite blush is by Tarte in the shade ‘memorable’. It’s a shade of pink that isn’t too light or dark. I feel that it would be flattering on most skin shades. The pigment is made from Amazonian Clay, which is supposed to be a very long lasting color and product. This is something I really agree on. Even though it is a powdered blush, I can still see the blush on my skin 7 hours  later. Unlike a lot of blushes that just blend into my makeup.

Uno de mis nuevos coloretes favoritos es Memorable de Tarte. Es un tono rosa que no es demasiado claro u oscuro. Creo que favorecería en la mayoría de los tonos de la piel. El pigmento está hecho de arcilla amazónica, que se supone que da una larga duración tanto al color como al producto. Y estoy totalmente de acuerdo con ello. A pesar de que es un rubor en polvo, todavía puedo verlo en mi piel 7 horas después de aplicarlo. A diferencia de muchos de rubores, este si se funde con mi maquillaje sin problemas. 

Face masks are a bigger part of my life when it’s the summer, the Purity made simple mask by Philosophy is my newest edition. This was something new I picked up when I went to the store earlier this summer and haven’t put it down since. The mask is very gentle and can be used everyday. Lets face it who really uses masks or scrubs everyday? Well if you do that’s great and if your skin looks better with it I’m totally not judging just a little concerned you might be over drying your skin. Anyways, this is a great little mask that you can apply and wash off after a minute and your skin really glows after using it.

Las máscaras faciales son una parte más de mi vida cuando es el verano, la de Purity Made Simple Mask de Philosophy es una de mis nuevas adquisiciones. Esto era algo nuevo, la compré a principios de verano y desde entonces no la he dejado de usar.. La mascarilla  es muy suave y se puede utilizar todos los días. Pero realmente, quién usa mascarillas o exfoliantes todos los días? Bueno, si lo haces es genial y si tu piel se ve mejor no puedo juzgar nada, pero quizá estés secando demasiado tu piel (es un consejo =D). De todas formas, esta es una gran mascarilla que aplicando un poco, aclaras un minuto después y tu piel se queda totalmente resplandeciente nada más usarla.

You cant have summer fun without a light summer foundation now can you? Benefit’s Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow is the answer to your prayers. It is a very light foundation but provides a great amount of coverage. It’s always so annoying to buy a “light” foundation and it just looks like you have nothing on! That is definitely the worst thing ever. I use the shade “I’m Plush & Precious, Petal.” It’s definitely worth going in and getting a sample for it!

Y no puedes tener un buen verano sin una base ligera de maquillaje, verdad? Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow de Benefit es la respuesta a sus oraciones. Es una base muy ligera, pero ofrece una gran cobertura. Molesta mucho comprar una base ligera y que literalmente parezca que no llevas nada! Eso es definitivamente lo peor. Yo uso el tono "I´m Plush & Precious, Petal." Definitivamente merece la pena que os acerquéis a vuestra perfumería y pidáis una muestra para probarla!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Lip Tar in shade Queen, is a dream. The Lip Tar comes with a cute little brush and you apply it. A little bit of the product goes a long way. It’s such a bright color it really makes your day that much brighter. I think what I love most about it, is that its very long lasting.

El Lip Tar de Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics en el tono Queen, es un sueño. Viene con una brocha pequeña muy mona para aplicarla. Un poco de producto cunde mucho. Es un color tan brillante que realmente hace que el día que mucho más brillante aún. Creo que lo que más me gusta, es que es muy duradero.

H A U L (I)

Hola a todos!!

Como va el verano? Espero que muy bien y que no estéis pasando mas calor del necesario. Antes que nada, pedir perdón por esta ausencia por el blog! Estuve unos días fuera de mi ciudad, y cuando volví me fui de nuevo unos días a la playa. Tenía un post preparado, pero a última hora cambié de idea y preferí esperar a estar de vuelta y visitar un par de sitios de los que sabía que iba a traer cosillas.

Voy a empezar con un post dedicado a las compras de maquillaje acumuladas de un par de meses, son cosas sueltas pero creo que os van a gustar =).

En MAC me compré el pigmento Melon en tamaño de viaje, fue verlo y cogerlo, porque llevo años detras de ese pigmento!. El color es precioso, un melocotón con toques dorados que favorece mucho. Y un familiar me regalo un pintalabios a mi elección, y elegí el Lipmix en Blue, para hacer mezclas con los que ya tengo. También cogí un delineador de labios en el tono Dervish (otro regalillo =D).

En Burlesque, compré una esponjita para maquillaje y una brocha plana de sombra, la Pro-37.

De Sleek Makeup me decidí a probar los Matte Me, y compré el Rioja Red. Un color muy bonito, de pigmentación impresionante y una duración que me ha dejado alucinada.

Y de vuelta en Madrid, me topé con dos sorpresas, Inglot ya ha llegado a la calle Fuencarral y el Sephora de Gran Vía estaba liquidando todo, por cierre. Hice una parada obligatoria en ambas tiendas, en Inglot he cogido dos labiales de paleta, uno en tono morado perteneciente a la línea Color Play y uno de línea regular en un tono granate con brillo un poco metalizado (ahora mismo en toda la tienda tienen un 25% de descuento). En Sephora, la verdad es que ya no hay gran surtido, casi todos los stands están vacíos pero mirando encontré una sombra muy bonita de NARS que llevaba tiempo con ella en mente y me he dado un capricho con ella. Es un tono que la marca define como un azul primario, en mate y muy pigmentado (en Sephora el descuento es del 30% en firmas y 50% en marca Sephora).

En mis vacaciones me encontré con la colección de Rita Ora para Rimmel London de uñas, y me cogí el tono 313 Rita Rouge, un borgoña muy intenso que queda muy bonito. Es de secado rápido y tiene mucho brillo, la duración en las uñas es bastante buena, casi una semana entera!

Para terminar, en mi paso por Mojácar me dejé caer por una tienda que recomendó Ángela de My Secret Journal (post aquí), Siroco Mojácar. Es una tienda con ropa estilo boho chic, toques hippies y una bisutería preciosa. Llevaba bastante tiempo detrás de conseguir unos pendientes así, de inspiración india, y estos me robaron el corazón. Como casi siempre voy en tonos oscuros, me decanté por tonos llamativos y que así resalten bien. Los precios de los pendientes iban de 8€ en adelante, pero no vi ninguno mas caro de 18€. Si os pasáis por la zona de Mojácar, os recomiendo que visitéis la tienda si os gusta este estilo de ropa, complementos y bisutería; no os arrepentiréis.

Y esto es todo de momento, en breves tendré otro haul con un poquito de ropa de rebajas y cosmética corporal!

Hey there!

How is going your summer, guys? Mine has been a little busy lately, I´ve been traveling and having a few days on the beach, for that I didn´t update as much as I would like to. But anyways, here I am, back to the routine!

Today I come with a Haul with accumulated makeup stuff from 2 months or so. There are just a few things, but I think that you may like some of them =).

From MAC I got the pigment Melon on travel size, and I was extremely excited because I´ve been wanting this pigment for ages. Is a lovely peachy color with gold reflections, very shiny. And a member of my family gave to me the option to choose a lipstick from MAC as a gift, and I picked up a Lipmix in Blue, to mix with my others Lipmix. And I got Dervish Lip liner, I was looking for a neutral color.

From Burlesque I got a new makeup sponge for my kit and a new shadow brush, the Pro-37.

From Sleek Makeup I decided to try the Matte Me lipstick in Rioja Red, and is a very lovely red color!

When I came back to Madrid I found out some curious news, we had a new Inglot store and one of the biggest Sephora is closing down. I visited both places and this is what I got: two lipsticks from Inglot in purple and a dark maroon with metallic shine (the purple one is from the Color Play line). And in Sephora I got a NARS eyeshadow (they had 30% off discount on every brand!) in a matte real blue, called Outremer.

On my holidays I saw the new colors that Rita Ora launched for Rimmel London, and I got this nail polish in the color 313 Rita Rouge. Is a very deep burgundy color, fast dry and last a lot on the nails!

To finish this haul, I visited a lovely town here on Spain (in Almería) called Mojácar. Thanks to a post from Ángela of My Secret Journal, I went to a store that she recomended, and I have to tell that if you like boho and hippie style, you will love it! The store is Siroco, and I got a beautiful pair of earrings, very hindi style. I wanted something very colorful, to contrast with my dark clothes, and this are the earrings.

MAC: Lorde x MAC and Maleficent

Hola a todos!

Espero que esteis pasando un buen puente, y que si os escapais unos dias, lo paseis muy bien! Yo como siempre, me quedo en la ciudad (para no perder la costumbre XD).

Hoy vengo con un post dedicado a un par de colecciones que están a punto de llegar (y limitadas, cosa que sigo considerando injusta a morir, pero bueno) y que me tienen el alma en vilo desde que me enteré.

La más próxima en llegar es la colección de MAC dedicada a la nueva película de Disney "Maléfica" que será protagonizada por Angelina Jolie y promete mucho (aquí os dejo mi trailer favorito) no sólo por la actriz, si no porque Lana Del Rey se ha encargado del tema principal de la banda sonora de la película.

Cuando me dijeron que MAC iba a sacar una colección entera sólo para Maléfica, mi mente voló automáticamente a la colección que ya previamente le habían dedicado a los villanos de Disney. De esa colección sólo me pude hacer con una sombra y un par de glosses, pero el packaging merecía la pena totalmente!

La gran mayoría de productos son de línea regular, es decir, que los puedes comprar todo el año, pero claro el packaging no es el mismo.

Aquí os dejo los productos.

La paleta de sombras contiene 4: Gold Mine, Ground Brown, Concrete y Carbon. (tengo estas cuatro sombras, y creo que es una combinación muy bonita de colores, me ha sorprendido bastante la verdad!)

Los productos para los labios. El labial True Love Kiss, el lápiz de labios Pro Longwear Kiss Me Quick y el lipglass Pro Longwear Anthuriam. Todo en un rojo precioso. (De aquí he tenido el lápiz de labios, y es muy bueno y con un tono rojo espectacular)

Pestañas postizas individuales #30 y las completas #36 y el Beauty Powder en el tono Natural. (Tengo ambas pestañas y quedan muy bonitas, y el Beauty Podwer tengo el de la colección de Marilyn Monroe y creo que es bastante similar en tono)

Los esmaltes de uñas, Nocturnelle, Flaming Rose, Uninvited. 

El Sculpting Powder (para contorno) Sculpt. (este es un producto mítico de MAC para el contorno)

El iluminador Bright Forecast de la línea Prep + Prime.

Eyeliner "Penultimate Eyeliner" en Rapidblack y lápiz de cejas en el tono Fling.

La verdad es que la colección es preciosa, y lo que mas me gusta es que muchos productos los puedes seguir comprando después. Mi punto débil sin duda es el labial, porque el tono es precioso y soy muy fan de los rojos.

Está prevista para el 15 de Mayo, y seguro que se agotará en horas, como suele pasar siempre.

¿Qué os parece esta colección? ¿Os gustan las colecciones basadas en películas?

Y ahora vamos a otra, que también me tiene en vilo.

Esta es una colaboración (de esas que MAC suele hacer con cantantes famosas) y esta vez le ha tocado a Lorde. La verdad que a mí su maquillaje me ha gustado muchísimo desde el principio, yo creo que más que nada por los tonos de labiales que usaba. Sigo a su maquilladora por twitter, y siempre está dando trucos para conseguir looks muy similares a los que ella le hace a Lorde.

Primero salió un Face Chart para ir abriendo boca, y que viéramos el look.

Un look muy simple, pero a la vez muy bonito.

Finalmente sabemos dos productos, el labial Heroine y el eyeliner Rapidblack (que también está incluído en la colección de Maléfica). Y os vuelvo a decir lo mismo, mi interés en esta colección es el labial, porque ha estado descontinuado durante mucho tiempo y ha vuelto a la venta, pero sólo en la tienda On-Line. Y tengo unas ganas tremendas de tenerlo!

Esta colección saldrá el día 5 de Junio.

Y bueno, como podeis ver lo mío con las colecciones de MAC ya no tiene nombre, jajajaja. Espero poder conseguir los dos labiales!

Today I´m here to tell you about two MAC collections that I am waiting as crazy for them to come out!

The firs one is the Maleficent Collection. This one is almost here, scheduled for May 15th.

And I really love this one, just because there are a lot of regular line products that you can buy again later if you try them on the collection.

Here are the products!

For the lips: lipstick in True Love Kiss, Pro Longwear Lipglass Anthuriam, and Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Kiss Me Quick.

What really catch my atention from this collection, as always is the lipstick. It seems to be such a beautiful shade of red, and I loooove red lipsticks. I hope that I can get it!

And now, the other collection is the one that Lorde is doing with MAC.

I always loved her looks, so simple and nice at the same time, and the lip color that she uses for me is fantastic!

They create a little bit of mistery publishing a Face Chart of the collection, I think they wanted to show how simple it was going to be, but at the same time so edgy and on trend.

Then, they confirmed that the products included on the collection will be the lipstick in Heroine and the Penultimate Eyeliner in Rapidblack (the same of the Maleficent collection). I want the lipstick, because here on Spain is only avalaible in the MAC on-line store and is always a sold-out item. So I will have a chance to try and get it on the store, finally!

This one is coming out on June 5.

Still having a little bit of Summer!

Hi there everyone!

Well, I know in some countries this days are almost the end of Summer and August, all together, but I am from Spain, and there we still having a little bit of summer, more or less until halfway through September.

This year, I didn´t visit the beach (because I´m in London, and that´s not a problem for me, because I´m not a big fan of the beach, all that sand, hot, etc... not my thing!) but usually when I was in Spain, once in Summer I used to visit the beach.

And I have like a "beach skin routine" that I think I could show you, for those who are going to visit the beach on this days.

I have a very pale skin, and very sensitive too. I don´t get a tan, I´ve never been tan, the most that I get is like a medium gold color that in a week totally dissapear of my skin. And normally, the usual thing is that I go to the white, straight to the extremely red skin, and then back to the white.

Because of that, I always like to prepare my skin to the sun exposure.

I start always with a good exfoliation of my whole body like a week before or so. I tend to use natural body scrubs, the last one that I´ve been using is the "I love Blackberry and Raspberry" from the brand "I love..". Is a soft one, you can use daily, so on the previous week I used it at least 3 times. I used it always on the shower.

After that I like to apply Johnson´s Baby Oil. After a lot of years using different body creams, I found out that this oil and the body creams from Victoria Secret are the only products that really moisturize my skin. I apply the oil every day of the previous week, to keep my skin well moisturized and hydrated.

When it comes to sun cream, I always use the same one. I´ve tried a lot of different brands, and after a lot of sunburns, I prefer to stick with this, cause´ I´ve never get a sunburn using it. I always get it on a Pharmacy, and is "Fotoprotector ISDIN Extreme 50+". I always get the body bottle and for the face the one that has the same name but is "90+", because is designed to prevent the skin spots caused for the sun exposure. This sun cream protects against UVA and UVA B and is dermatologically tested. Is a little bit heavy to put, because is so concentrated, but I prefer to spend a little bit more applying cream than getting a sunburn!

I´m not telling you that this bronzer oils with SPF cannot be used as a sun protection, but usually they don´t go further of the 30SPF, so I considered very risky to have a long sun exposure with this kind of bronzers, normally they cause a lot of sunburn. For me is like you put this bronzer oils and go to the beach to fry your skin under the sun. Is not demosntrated that you can get a faster tan with them, and the only thing you can get using this, is get a sunburn.

When I come back after my day on the beach (remember you have to re-apply your sun cream every 3 hours), I take a shower with my shower gel of the moment and use some after sun. The one that I have used all my life, since I have memory and my mother always put on me when I was a baby it´s the Ecran Aftersun Balsamic Effect. I love so much the smell of this, and is a great relief for the skin after all day on the beach under the sun.

Because I don´t get a tan, I don´t have a personal trick to keep the tan. But most of my friends tend to use this creams that help to keep the tan the longer time possible, there are a lot of brands that have this kind of products, so ask on your closer drugstore to get one!
