Beauty Blender Dupe!

Cómo va la semana? Espero que muy bien, y cargando fuerzas para el fin de semana que ya casi lo tenemos aquí.

Hoy os vengo a hablar de una esponja de maquillaje. Va a ser un pequeño review.

Todo el mundo está loco con la Beauty Blender, y si es como la esponja que os enseño hoy, lo entiendo totalmente. A mí, bajo mi opinión personal, lo que me parece una brutalidad es el precio. Hace unos 4 años, cuando visité USA estuve a punto de comprarla, pero eran 25$, y me parecía demasiado para una esponja, por muy buena que sea. Después, aquí en España salió a la venta, entre 20 y 30 € de precio (la he visto en Sephora y otra cadena de perfumerías que ahora mismo no recuerdo) y sigue pareciéndome muy cara.

 

Como podéis ver es como si fuera la famosa Beauty Blender, pero en vez de ser en forma de huevo tiene una curva en el centro (que resulta muy cómodo para coger la esponja y tener mejor manejo). La parte inferior de la esponja es mas redondeada, perfecta para aplicar base y difuminar. La parte superior es mas en punta, perfecta para áreas pequeñas y muy cómoda para difuminar también.

Lo primero, tengo que reconocer que no soy una gran fan de las esponjas de maquillaje (bueno, a estas alturas mejor decir que no lo era) hasta que probé esta. Me la dieron los chicos de Burlesque Madrid, para que la probase, hace ya un tiempo.

La he usado en sesiones de fotos, mayoritariamente, y sobre todo en chicos. Me gustaba mucho el acabado que le daba a la piel, y los chicos me decían que les gustaba mucho el tacto de la esponja. Eso, quieras que no, le da muchos puntos a un producto. Cada vez que he tenido una sesión, ha sido una herramienta imprescindible en mi maletín. En las chicas, sobre todo la he usado para difuminar contorno facial y aplicar el corrector o iluminador en crema.

Y ahora, se ha convertido imprescindible en mi rutina de maquillaje, para aplicar el corrector (no la uso húmeda). Siempre he aplicado el corrector o con el dedo o la brocha de Sigma (porque para difuminar sombras no me gusta el acabado que deja). Últimamente no me acababa de convencer el acabado que tenía mi corrector, así que me decidí por usar la esponja, y ha sido toda una revolución para mi. Ha mejorado la duración de mi corrector (uso el Pro Longwear de MAC y el HD de Nyx, suelo alternarlos) a pesar de que ambos tienen una duración tremenda, y el producto queda mucho más fundido con mi piel.
A parte de eso, lo que me gusta es que esta esponja absorbe lo justo de producto y no es como otras que tienes que aplicar kilos y kilos de producto para que llegue algo a la piel.
Para limpiarla, uso un jabón suave y la dejo secar de pie, apoyada en la pared. En una noche esta totalmente seca y como nueva para usarla.

Así que si sois como yo, y os parece un poco excesivo el precio del Beauty Blender, os recomiendo que os paséis por Burlesque (pinchando en el nombre más arriba os sale su facebook oficial) y le deis una oportunidad a esta esponjita. Merece totalmente la pena!

Today I´m coming with a little review, about a makeup sponge.

As you can see, is like the beauty blender, but with a curve in the middle, that makes easier to hold it and use it.

Everybody is crazy right now about the Beauty Blender, but I don´t think I´ve never been a fan of that one. First, I think is very overpriced just for a sponge to cost more than 20$, and the main reason is because I´m not a big fan of sponges for makeup. A while ago, when I visited the U.S.A I almost bought it, but the price was like 25$ and I didn´t buy it. Now, here in Spain is avalaible in Sephora and more places if I´m not wrong, but it cost more than 20€, still being expensive for me.

This one I got it from one of my favourite stores here, Burlesque Madrid, they gave it to me to try it. And I was very surprised, I liked it a lot.

I mainly used this sponge for shoots, mostly on guys. I loved the finish of the skin was so natural and flawless, and the guys love the feeling of the sponge on their faces. That was a very good thing to me. And on the girls, I used it a lot for cream contouring and highlighting too. It was a must-have on my kit.

And now, it´s a must-have on my normal makeup routine. I´ve always used brushes to apply my concealer or my finger, but lately I didn´t like so much how it looks on my skin. I started using the sponge on myself and I loved it! The finish of the concealer is more natural, it blends much more on my skin and last even longer! (I usually use Pro Longwear by MAC and HD concealer by Nyx, alternating).
Another thing that I love about this sponge is that it doesn´t absorb a lot of product, just a little amount, which is very nice, cause´ you don´t waste a lot of product.
For cleaning the sponge, I just use a soft soap and let it dry for a whole night. It gets totally dry and ready to use it again!

So if you´re looking for a different option instead of the Beauty Blender, I really recommend you this one.

TAG: Mis 5 Caprichos de Belleza

Hola a todos!

Bueno, aquí estoy de vuelta, y es que Laumeicap me ha nominado en este TAG de Caprichos de Belleza (muchas gracias!! porque me encanta ver lo que la gente pide, así aumenta mi lista aun mas!). Básicamente es como una wishlist, asi que allá voy (y como no me puedo decidir por solo 5 cosas, doy varias opciones de cada producto que ponga).

Empezamos!

1.Base de maquillaje: Pues aquí si que no me puedo decidir, porque ambas llevan en mi lista mucho tiempo, y son la Sheer Glow de Nars (se hasta mi tonalidad, que sería Siberia) y la Luminous Silk Foundation de Giorgio Armani. Ambas son fantásticas bases, y muy caras.

2. Labial: De nuevo, no puedo elegir solo uno. Estos cuatro están en mi lista, son Heroine de MAC (aun no disponible en tienda, solo en web), Black Orchid de Tom Ford (cuesta casi unas 40£ y aquí en España no lo he encontrado en ningún sitio) y un Lip Tar de OCC, Black Dahlia (parecidos a los lipmix de MAC). No me puedo olvidar del pintalabios ESP de Illamasqua. Como veis, tengo un serio problema con los tonos morados y rojos.

3. Colorete: Myracle de Kevyn Aucoin, es un tono fucsia, aunque en la foto se aprecia tirando a morado. Y los Tarte Amazonian Cley, unos coloretes con una pigmentación impresionante, pero tampoco hay manera de tenerlos en España, ya que la marca no los envía.

4. Polvos Compactos: Hourglass Ambient Lightning Powder, hay de varias tonalidades, y tienen un ligero toque de brillo que consigue dejar el mitico "glowy finish" en la piel. No disponibles en España y no hay manera de pedirlos por web (me frustra mucho esto de parecer que vivimos en Narnia).

5. Brochas: Aquí si que pierdo la cabeza, y tremendamente. En mi lista esta la brocha Ita de Nars (perfecta para contorno y extremadamente cara), el set completo de Wayne Goss (es uno de mis maquilladores favoritos, y su set de brochas es lo mas simple y perfecto que he visto nunca) y alguna brocha de Hakuhodo (también carísimas, pero con una fama impresionante)

Y estos serian mis caprichos de belleza, totalmente imposible reducirlo mas, y hay muchísimas cosas que me he dejado en el tintero, porque si no esto sería un no acabar!

Mini Lush Haul! And something else...

Cómo estáis? Espero que muy bien =). Hoy os traigo un mini haul de unas cosas que el otro día compré en Lush y un par de cosillas mas.

Esta tienda es una de mis favoritas, porque me encanta la cosmética natural. Se que hay otras marcas ahora mismo que trabajan ese campo, pero no me han llamado nunca tanto la atención como esta.

He estado usando un champú solido, que se llama "Resplandor". Sirve para regular la grasa y aportar brillo al cabello (lleva una pequeña cantidad de purpurina), y aunque me ha gustado, quería probar otro, porque este no ha acabado de funcionar del todo. Así que el dependiente me recomendó que probase "Karma", que ayuda también a regular la grasa (por el contenido en cítricos que tiene) y a desenredar el pelo, y que ademas, todos llevan una flor de manzanilla. Tengo amigas que lo han probado y les encanta, espero tener buena suerte. Y huele genial!

Después, desde mi ultima visita, estuve usando una muestra de un exfoliante facial y corporal, aunque solo lo usé en la cara. Tengo una batalla continua para encontrar exfoliantes que realmente me hagan efecto y no me dejen la piel mucho peor, y este ha dado en el clavo. Es el "Ocean´s Salt", un exfoliante de sal marina, que ademas contiene lima, pomelo, coco, limones, manteca de aguacate y vodka. Huele genial, y el efecto en mi piel es mejor aun, porque logra eliminar todas las impurezas y dejarme la piel bien exfoliada. La uso una vez a la semana, y si veo que tengo la cara un poco peor, dos. Aunque para pieles grasas, ellos te recomiendan cada dos días.

Y de regalo por la compra, me dieron un trocito del jabón "Sexy Peel" , que es un jabón a base de cítricos. Huele tan bien, que te dan ganas de no usarlo nunca y dejarlo de ambientador, en serio. Contiene limón, lima, pomelo, naranja, y aceite de coco. Me dijeron que es para hombres, pero me da igual, pienso usarlo yo.
También me dieron una muestra de crema para la cara, la "Vanishing Cream" para pieles con acné, rojeces y sensibles. Es en una textura similar al gel y contiene aceite de manzanilla, pomelo y jojoba, además de  manteca de karité.

Y como ya estaba por la zona (en la calle Fuencarral en Madrid) me pasé por la tienda Beautika, a ver si encontraba un corrector que he visto en unos cuantos tutoriales de Youtube. El corrector es el "HD Photogenic Concealer" de Nyx. Esta marca me gusta mucho, porque es barata, pero tiene una calidad buenísima. Tengo sombras, un par de pintalabios y lápices de ojos desde hace ya tiempo. Como costaba 5.99€ me decidí a probarlo, y las dos veces que lo he usado desde este fin de semana, me ha encantado el resultado y acabado del corrector. Pronto os haré un review en condiciones.

Mis visitas a Fuencarral no están completas si no acabo pasando por MAC. Y ahí que acabé, preguntado por enésima vez si ya habían traído un Lipmix que llevo esperando desde noviembre. Tuve suerte, y ahí estaba esperándome esta vez. El que he cogido esta vez es Burgundy, un borgoña muy oscuro, y que me tiene enamorada desde hace siglos. Ahora se esta haciendo muy popular gracias a la cantante Lorde. También os haré un review de este en breve.

Y estas fueron mis compras del fin de semana, espero que os haya gustado, o que si andáis a la búsqueda de algo similar, os sirva de ayuda =).

Hello everyone!

How are you doing? I hope you had a great weekend, mine was calm, but with a little bit of shopping for some stuff that I needed.

The main stuff that I got was from Lush. I have to say that is one of my favourite stores for fresh handmade cosmetic, and the scent of every single product is amazing... I love this brand so much.

I was using the solid shampoo "Ultimate Shine", and the other day I ran out of it, so I decided to go and try a new one. I like this one, but my hair didn´t look as I wanted, so I tell the guy on the store to recommend me other and he told me that I should try "Karma Komba", it helps to detangle and balances the sebum, and leaves a great scent on the hair. Some of my friends use this one, and they love it so much, so let´s see if it works on me too!

Then, after using a sample of a facial scrub called "Oceans Salt" I decided to buy it. It is the only scrub in a while that really worked on my skin and don´t give me any horrible skin reaction. It has lime, grapefuit, coconut, sea salt and vodka. The smell is delicious!

When I paid for everything, they gave me some samples, a piece of soap "Sexy Peel" made of lemon, limes, orange that has an amazing scent and they said it was for guys... but I still using it, don´t care about that at all. And they gave me also a sample of facial cream, called "Vanishing Cream". It´s a moisturiser, light texture, with lavender and witch hazel to treat sensitive skins.

Then I went to other store where they had the brand NYX, not so easy to find here on Spain, and I adore this brand a lot. I bought, after watching a few tutorials in Youtube the "HD Photogenic Concealer". I´ve used this one twice since I got it, and the result is really good! I will made a review about very soon.

And for finishing my shopping trip, I went to MAC. And I was very lucky, because after two months of waiting, finally I got my Burgundy Lipmix. It´s a very deep burgundy color, and I love it. Now is getting quite popular for Lorde and her signature dark lips. Also, I will make a review on this one too.

Urban Decay Electric Palette

Hola a todos!

Un pequeño post, sobre algo que me ha sorprendido bastante, la verdad. Aun sin haber podido superar el furor que ha desatado la paleta Naked 3 de Urban Decay,  van a lanzar una paleta mucho más colorida, la Electric Pressed Pigment Palette (supuestamente para el verano de este año).

Aun no hay muchos detalles, solo fotos promocionales y un vídeo. (las dos fotos y el vídeo os los pongo para que los veáis)

No suelo ser gran fan de los pigmentos así en este formato, pero los colores son impresionantes...

La paleta son 10 sombras y un pincel doble, como viene siendo costumbre en esta firma.

El vídeo ha sido subido en el canal de Urban Decay en YouTube.

Habrá que esperar a tener mas noticias (aun no hay fecha confirmada), pero la verdad es que tiene una pinta muy interesante con todos esos colores tan llamativos!

Y también van a sacar una mini colección de pintauñas para esta "línea" Electric.

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post in something I just saw on YouTube, Urban Decay is not giving us any time to recover from the Naked 3 palette, they´re anouncing now a new one coming soon!

This one is more colorful, and is called: Electric Pressed Pigment Palette.

I´m not a big fan of that format for the eyeshadows, but the colors seems to be all matte and amazing.

The palette is suposed to have 10 eyeshadows and a brush, as usual.

They uploaded a video on their YouTube channel, for promo too.

Is rumored to come out in summer, but there´s nothing confirmed in this moment.

This palette looks so interesting... What do you think?

They also will launch a set of nail polish for the Electric line.

Kiko "Quick Dry" Review

Hola a todos!

Que tal el fin de semana? Espero que muy bien, y que todos los que celebraseis San Valentín hayáis tenido un muy buen día! (Yo lo pasé con mis amigas, que después de todo, también es el día de la amistad :D)

Hoy vengo con un review sobre uno de los productos que mencioné el otro día en el mini haul, y quiero contaros que tal resultado me ha dado.

Como os dije, me decidí a probar uno de los esmaltes de uñas Quick Dry de Kiko, porque la verdad que había leído muy buenos comentarios de ellos. Y me ha sorprendido bastante, y para bueno.

Es un esmalte de consistencia un tanto espesa (hay que agitarlo bastante bien antes de aplicarlo) y con una sola capa en las uñas no acaba de dar todo el color, pero con dos queda un acabado muy brillante y un color bien tupido y definido. Me ha durado bastante, 4 días en perfecto estado (lo cual es muy complicado porque cocino bastante y ya sabéis que al cocinar las uñas se suelen estropear). Y seca rápido, mucho más de lo que yo esperaba.

Como buena característica de este esmalte, insistir en lo del secado rápido, para gente impaciente es de lo mejor! También añadir el brillo que tiene y la duración, cosas que son las que me suelen conquistar en un esmalte de uñas. Y el precio, solo es 1,90€ y tiene un rango de colores muy bonitos.
Como característica no muy positiva, el pincel me resulta un poco grande (pero tampoco es algo que me moleste demasiado, aunque los prefiero mas pequeños) y que la primera vez que apliqué el esmalte, tuve que repetir la manicura entera porque me salieron burbujitas en todas las uñas. En la segunda aplicación solo apareció en una uña.

Teniendo en cuenta que siempre que pruebo algo de esta marca suele ser un fallo estrepitoso, me doy por contenta con esta compra y su buen resultado.
Así que si estáis a la búsqueda de esmaltes de secado rápido y con buena gama de colores, totalmente os recomiendo que os deis una vuelta por Kiko.

Hope your weekend had been very good, and your Valentine´s day too! Mine was good, with my girlfriends having fun =).

Well, today I am back with a little review of one product that I talked about on my last post, and I wanted to give you my view on it as soon as I tried it.

As I told you, I decided to give a chance to the Quick Dry nail polish by Kiko, because everybody talked good things about it. And it really surprised me, for good.

Is a very thick polish (you really need to shake it well before you start using it) and with just one coat of product the color doesn´t show up very well. But if you apply two coats, the color looks amazing and it has a lot of shine. I had it on my nails on perfect state for 4 days, and that´s a lot of time for me (I cook, I´m always doing something and my nails always get ruined very soon). And the "quick dry" is more fast than I would have ever expected.

The good things about this nail polish for me are the "quick dry" (perfect for people with no patience while they´re doing their nails), the long lasting and shine, this two last ones always are the things that makes me like a polish. Of course, I have to add the price, just 1,90€ and all the shades that they have in this line of polishes.
The not so good stuff of this polish, for me is the brush (so big for me, I prefer thinner brushes) and that on the first time that I put it on my nails, I had to applied it again, because I had bubbles in all the nails. But the second time I didn´t have that much, just on one nail.

Anyways, I recommend this product, for quality and price, and also good results. And I am very surprised saying that, becasue normally my experiences with Kiko and their stuff is a big disaster.
So if you´re looking for good "quick dry" nail polishes, take a look on this ones.

Mini Haul!

Hola a todos!

Como va la semana? Espero que muy bien y que no se os haga muy larga. Y por adelantado, para todos aquellos que celebréis San Valentín, espero que paséis muy buen día con vuestra pareja y que os regalen alguna cosilla =).

Hoy os vengo a enseñar unas cuantas cosas que me he ido comprando estos días, no es mucho, pero de todas maneras quería enseñároslas por si acaso estáis buscando algo similar.

Lo primero es un lápiz de labios rojo. Tengo uno de MAC (Kiss Me Quick) pero es de la línea Pro Longwear y se me ha secado (es la única pega que le saco a esa linea, que hay cosas que se secan demasiado rápido) y utilizarlo es toda una odisea. El otro día ya casi ni pintaba sobre el labio, así que me escapé e hice una visita a la tienda. Me decidí (y por recomendación de una de las chicas de allí que siempre da en el clavo conmigo) por el lápiz Cherry. Es un rojo verdadero, ni tira a rosa, pero tampoco muy azulado, lo que me permite combinarlo con un montón de rojos de los que tengo en mis labiales. El otro día usé el lápiz y encima apliqué Mac Red, y el color quedó espectacular. También me compré un sacapuntas, porque he perdido el único que tenía, y me esta gustando bastante, afila muy bien y se puede abrir tanto por arriba como por abajo, lo que te permite vaciarlo muy rápido (y no ensuciar nada mientras que sacas punta al lápiz).

Después de investigar un poco, decidí darle una oportunidad a uno de los pintauñas Quick Dry de Kiko. He leído buenas opiniones, y andaba en la búsqueda de un color negro, así que hoy mismo voy a probarlo a ver que tal queda y ver si es verdad que seca tan rápido como dicen. (suelo ser muy escéptica con Kiko, porque no se como me las apaño que siempre tengo mala suerte con la marca...)

Y finalmente, hoy dando una vuelta por Sephora, me he encontrado en rebajas una base de Bare Minerals y de mi tono (cosa que jamás me suele pasar, pero hoy debía ser mi día de suerte!). Solo como base no la puedo usar (ya la he probado previamente) porque no me cubre la piel como a mi me gusta, pero me la han recomendado como polvo fijador, así que le voy a dar una oportunidad a ver que tal queda. Es el tono Fair, de tonalidad amarilla.

How´s going your week? Hope that is everything ok, and for all that are going to celebrate Valentine´s Day, I wish you in anticipation a great day with your loved one and that get a lovely gift =) (sometimes being with the one you love is more than enough ;D)

Today I´m here with a quick mini haul of a few things that I got recently.

First, two MAC products, a sharpener (because I lost the one that I had before) that I´m really loving a lot and a lip pencil in a red shade. I used always "Kiss Me Quick" from the Pro Longwear line, but the pencil is totally dry and is impossible to use it, so I got (for recomendation of one of the mac girls) Cherry Lip Pencil. Is a true red color, not so blue but no so pink neither. I can mix it with all my red lipsticks, and it looks amazing. If you ever need a red lip liner, I hardly suggest this one (you won´t regret it).

Then, I got a Kiko nail polish, from the line "Quick Dry" on black. I read a lot of stuff, very good by the way, so I decided to give it a chance (normally I don´t have so much luck with this brand).

And the last thing, is a Bare Mineral foundation, on the shade "Fair". It was on sale, and I decided to take it and use it as a finishing powder with mi foundation (cause as foundation itself is not enough for my skin). As soon as I try it, I will show you the results.

Is not so much, but I wanted to share it with you.

Purple and Smoky Silver

Hola a todos!

Que tal estáis? Espero que muy bien y que vayáis cogiendo fuerzas para el finde =), aunque este el clima lluvioso y a ratos soleado... (al menos por aquí en Madrid no hace mas que llover y llover, pero de la nada sale el sol).

Hoy os voy a enseñar como he hecho un look muy rápido y socorrido (para esos días que no tienes tiempo ni para respirar casi) pero que queda muy bien e incluso se puede usar para salir de fiesta.

La base, la misma rutina de siempre.

En los ojos he delineado, pero esta vez no he sacado rabillo, solo he llegado hasta el final de las pestañas. También he delineado por las pestañas inferiores, y después con una brocha  difuminadora (la de estilo boli o lápiz) he difuminado el delineado con sombra gris plata. Para difuminar un poquito mas los bordes he usado una brocha difuminadora mas grande y he difuminado hasta que no ha quedado rastro alguno de corte de sombra. En el lagrimal y en el arco de la ceja he aplicado un pigmento de muestra que tengo, Vanilla de MAC. Después he delineado la "waterline" y he aplicado máscara de pestañas.

El colorete ha sido un tono suavito, en rosa. Y las cejas esta vez usé de Makeup Forever en el tono #30.

(Productos: Graphblack lápiz de ojos de MAC, delineador Nightmoth de MAC, eyeliner en gel de Maybelline, labial Violetta de MAC, Aquabrow de Make Up For Ever, pigmento Vanilla de MAC y sombra de Inglot en el tono gris plata, debajo tenéis la referencia de la sombra)

Para los labios he usado un delineador de tono ciruela muy oscuro y lo he ido degradando hacia dentro, y en el centro del labio he aplicado un labial violeta.
Como veis, muy simple, pero muy socorrido y elegante =).

Today I´m going to show you a very easy look, that you can rock at any time! And even for a fancy party it could work. It will take you just a few minutes, I promise.

My foundation routine was the same as always.

Then, on the eyes (after applying some paintpot by MAC, this time Bare Study) I just applied gel liner all over the lash line, and on the lower lash line too. Then, with a pencil brush and some silver eyeshadow by Inglot (on the picture above you can see wich one is) I blended it with the liner. To prevent any harsh line, I took a big fluffy blending brush and make any possible line dissapear. On the tear duct and the arch of the brow I applied as a highlighter some of the Vanilla pigment by MAC (I got a sample the other day, and is incredibly GORGEOUS!), lined my waterline with black pencil and put some mascara.

For blush I used a very light rose pink color.

On the lips I used a very dark plum color, and faded it to the center of the lips, and then on the center I put some violet lipstick (it looked like a little bit of a gradient lip).
