Hi there!!
Well, as promised, here I am with the post dedicated to this Essie nail lacquer. This one is from the Autumn Collection of 2013, and is a small size, unfortunately they don´t have the bigger one!
Anyways, I loved this color, and the first time I saw it was on a paper for some promo of the collection.
On the website it says that is a rich medium brown with reflective green shimmer. I promise the first impression that I got from the color when I saw it it was more purple and green than brown...
Is a very thick polish, and dries fast (even though is not a fast-dry one) and shines a lot. And depending on the light, it can look different and show more green or brown/purple.
And for celebrating something special this weekend, what better than a special color.
Hope you like the post, see you on the next!

Aruba Blue by Essie
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to make a quick review on my new and favourite nail polish, Aruba Blue by Essie.
Since the first time I saw that color (it was on a Youtube video, but I don´t remember which one) a long time ago, I knew I had to get that nail polish. The problem was, in that time, Essie was not avalaible in Spain, and any website with Essie polishes made delivers to Spain. I waited, patiently, and Essie arrived to Spain. And that day began my fight to get Aruba Blue. Every single time I went to buy it, it was sold out. So I gave up.
But last week, FINALLY! I get it! I was on the Salon Look fair, and when I was looking to get some nail polishes of Essie (they were on half price!) I saw it. There was, Aruba Blue, waiting for me. Obviously, I bought it, and that same night, I did my nails with it.
All the previous colors that I have from Essie were matte colors with glossy finish. This blue color is metallic, and I have to tell you, is amazing. With one coat of polish your nail is totally covered and it´s very opic, but with two coats, it looks even more shiny and a little bit darker.
I used a base coat underneath , but it appeared some bubbles on the nail, so I took it off and tried it without base coat and it was perfect.
Everybody asked me about my blue nails, and I received a lot of compliments for the color.
So if you´re looking for a nice metallic blue, I really recommend you this one!
Hope you like the post, see you on the next one!

Salon Look 2013: Visit and Haul
Hi everyone!
As you may guess for the title, this is a post about the Salon Look that was celebrated this weekend. And, as every year, I went (with some friends) to take a look on the news on the beauty field and to get some makeup stuff.
Really, nothing changed a lot from the last year, so basically we visited the pavilion that is dedicated just to hair and hairstylist stuff. A lot of hair extensions, wigs, flat irons, blor dryers... Incredible stuff for your hair. All the brands had people making demonstrations of haircut, how to put extensions of any kind, doing incredible and crazy stylisms for the hair, etc. I am so sorry, because I didn´t get any picture, but I´m sure there are a lot around the internet!
Later, when we finished with the hair, we went to the other pavilion dedicated to nails, makeup, aesthetics and spa. This year it was a little bit frustrant because there were like the half of brands that usually are always on the fair. We visited Peggy Sage´s sales stand (big and with a lot of people), the StarGazer one (loads and loads of people around this one), the Make Up For Ever too (again full of people), the Novara one for brushes and the Essie, that was the first time ever for them on this fair as the Wet n´Wild too. In the Make Up For Ever stand they were doing Body Painting, it was so beautiful!
We got a lot of stuff, and I´m going to show you what I got. It´s not so much, but right now I have a lot of makeup and no space for it...
From StarGazer I took this year one pigment in Silver color (#27) and two different glitters in Garnet (burgundy color) and Hologram (Holographic glitter). They told me that this glitter can be used for the eyes, but on the jar of the glitter says that is not for eye makeup, so I won´t use it, just in case. The pigment is the most incredible silver color that I´ve ever seen, and it has a lot of shine, just what I was looking for.
From Essie I took my favourite color ever, Aruba Blue. This is the most bright metallic blue nail polish ever, and for me, one of the most beautiful colors. And from the Fall 2013 collection I got a mini size nail polish in the color "For the twill of it" that is one of this colors that depending on the position and the light look all the time in a different color.
From Make Up For Ever I got one eyeshadow that I was looking for a very long ago. Is one of the most popular colors from them, #92, incredible bright violet color in mate finish, as well incredibly pigmented.
From Wet n Wild I got a blush in the color Pearlscent Pink and one of their big eyeshadow palettes (it has 8 different colors) in Blue Had Me At Hello. I have seen this one a lot in YouTube tutorials, and when I saw it yesterday, I took it instantly!
And no visit is completed without the two samples of Moroccanoil and their famous bag.
Not so much stuff, but I am extremely happy with what I got.
Hope you like the post, and see you on the next one!

Visitamos los stands de Make Up For Ever, StarGazer, Peggy Sage, Novara, Essie y Wet n Wild.

Nails!
Hi everyone!
Today I am here with a long post about nails, with all my favourite products and all the stuff that I´ve used all over the years.
A lot of people had asked me what are my favourite products, brands... So today I´m going to make you like a "Top Ten" of all of the products.
I will start in order, from the first product you use when you start doing your nails, to the last one.

When you do your nails, it´s always recommended (if not
necessary) apply previously a layer of base coat to protect your nail and avoid
that later when you take off the polish your nails still having the color of
the polish you´ve got before. There are even base coats with vitamins, and
another ones with different treatments, you have to choose the one that adjust
best to yourself.
One of my favourite base coats is the O2M Breathable Base Coat
from Inglot. I´ve been using it during a year and my nails always look perfect
after taking off the polish (and I always have my nails done, it´s so weird
that I don´t wear any polish). Even that in the bottle it looks white, once
applied it looks clear. Any nail polish on top of this base coat last between
4-6 days in perfect conditions. One of the special feature in this product, is
that is designed to let your nail breath while you have the polish on. (This
product is not tested in animals, the brand is against animal tests).
Another one with a great quality is the Natural Nail Base Coat
from OPI. They usually sell it with the top coat, but you can find it for
itself if you don´t want to buy both. The color of this one looks pink on the
bottle but once applied looks again clear. It´s a long lasting one too, your
manicure will last between 4-6 days perfectly.
Now let´s go to the Top Coats.
Again, one of my favourites is the O2M Breathable Top Coat. It´s
totally clear and let your manicure with a very lovely shine, almost gel
finish. During the time you have your manicure it doesn´t loose any shine at
all. The only bad thing about it is that is not a fast drying one.
Another one with the same bad thing like the Inglot one is the
Top Coat from The Edge, a very nice shine but it dries so slow.
The Fast Forward Top Coat from China Glaze, that apart of give you an amazing
shine for your manicure, it helps to dry the polish faster. All the times
that I´ve used it I´ve been totally in love with the final result and most of
all because it helps to dry faster, it´s one of my favourites ones now.
One of the classics, and everybody has tried it at least once is
the top coat from Seche Vite. I tried this one 2 years ago, and it really gave
to the manicure a lovely shine and helped to dry faster.
Now let´s go to the dryers!
One that absolutely left me speechless is a Top Coat from Sally Hansen called “Dry Kwik”, and in less than a
minute your nails are totally dried! The system is that with the brush you let
fall a drop on top of your nail and let it expand all over the nail. Then you
wait a minute (maybe 2, just in case) you take off the excess of oil that the
product leaves (but if you use it for your cuticles is so moisturizing) and
your nails are perfectly dry with an incredible shine. It´s my favourite of all
the list.
Another dryer is the Quick-e from
Essie. This one comes with a dropper, and you just have to let fall a drop on
top of each nail and in one minute your nail is totally dry. The only bad thing
is that it´s so hard to find (maybe on line you can find it).
OPI has drop dryer too, it´s called Drip Dry, but if you put
more than two layers of nail polish, probably it won´t dry so fast.
One that have gel finish and shine is the Base and Top Coat from
OPI, it has an amazing finish, but you have to seal the nail, if you don´t, it
won´t work at all. It dries fast too, like 2 minutes. The only bad thing about
is that it´s a little bit expensive.
Hope you like the post, see you on the next one!
Lor.
