MAC and the new collections: The Simpsons & Brooke Shields

Bueno, estaba preparando este post, cuando Alexandra de http://blondeandfashionista.blogspot.com.es/ (hola sistah!!!) me ha dejado un tweet diciéndome que estaba esperando un post sobre un par de colecciones de MAC que están a punto de llegar... Y bueno, aquí están las dos colecciones.

La primera es la muy anunciada (y esperada) colección de "The Simpsons". Con motivo del 25 aniversario de la serie, MAC le ha querido hacer un pequeño homenaje a la serie, y la musa de la colección ha sido la genial Marge Simpson.

Se compone de dos paletas de sombras, un colorete, pegatinas para las uñas, pestañas postizas y 4 glosses. 

Las sombras son en tonos azules y morados en una paleta, y en la otra todo en tonos verdes. El colorete es un tono rosa suave y los glosses son de colores muy llamativos (rosa, amarillo, naranja y morado).

La colección se mostró por primera vez en la SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) y fue todo un éxito.

Y con esta dieron mas pistas del packaging y productos. He de decir que me llevé una decepción tremenda al no ver ni un solo pintalabios. Pero el colorete, tiene una pinta genial. And with this one we got more clues about the products and the packaging of the collection.

¿Qué os parece esta colección? ¿Os gusta? Yo sinceramente me esperaba algún pintalabios, quizá un pintauñas...  No soy muy de glosses, pero ya os digo yo que esos mismos colores en labiales hubieran triunfado. Pero igualmente, me encanta el packaging.

Y ahora, pasamos a otra colección. 

La actriz, modelo, escritora (os sonará sobre todo de la película "El Lago Azul") Brooke Shields se ha unido a MAC para lanzar una colección. Es una de las mas grandes que MAC ha lanzado en una larga temporada y aun no tenemos demasiada información. Y está prevista que salga a la venta para Otoño de este año. 

Como podeis ver, la paleta de sombras es de las grandes, de 15. Luego también habrá pintauñas, coloretes, labiales y set de cejas. La gente que ha podido ver la colección dice que tiene cierto aire a las campañas que solía hacer Katie Holmes para Bobbi Brown.

Hello everyone!!

Well, I was writing this post, when I received a tweet from Alexandra (http://blondeandfashionista.blogspot.com.es/) asking me when I was going to write something about the two new collections from MAC that are coming very soon... So here it is, sistah!

Well, the first one is the very anticipated "The Simpsons" by MAC. The brand wanted to make a little tribute to the TV show for the 25 anniversary, and they prepared this collection.

It has two eyeshadow palettes (one in blue&purple colors and the other one in green shades), a blusher, fake lashes, nail stickers and 4 glosses (in pink, orange, yellow and purple).

MAC made a special pre-sale in the SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) and it was a total success!

I really missed some lipstick in this collection, I would prefered it over the gloss for sure! But the blush looks so beautiful. And the packaging is so cute!

And the other collection, is Brooke Shields for MAC.

Brooke is a very famous actress, writer and model (you will recognise her from the film "The Blue Lagoon") and now she´s going to launch this collection on Fall of this year. 

Is one of the biggest that MAC has had for a long time, and there´s not a lot of information about it now... All that we can see is that it comes with a big eyeshadow palette, lipstick and nail polishes, blush and brow pencil.

What do you think about this collections? Which one do you prefer? Mine, at the moment is the one of "The Simpsons" but the Brooke Shield´s one has nice stuff too... I love MAC too much, and it´s becoming a serious problem! hahahaha

Grammys Inspired Look

Como estáis? Espero que bien, y que la semana no se haga muy larga!

Ayer fue la entrega de los Grammys, y la verdad es que es una de mis galas favoritas desde hace muchos años. Aunque últimamente la verdad, es mas espectáculo que música, pero bueno... Parece que en esta gala la gente saca ropa decente de gala y algunos looks de la gala de este año me han gustado mucho (Lorde es mi favorita, Beyoncé, Ciara... Y Taylor Swift me gusta su look simple, pero es lo típico en ella, así que no me sorprende, aunque es muy bonito el maquillaje la verdad).

La verdad es que los looks han sido muy decentes y nada escandalosos, y particularmente el de Rita Ora me ha encantado!

Como podéis ver en la foto, es solo morado, pero resalta sus ojos de manera increíble. Y el resto del maquillaje esta muy ajustado y al mínimo, lo que creo que la hace parecer mas guapa aun. Me ha sorprendido verla con este look y no con sus míticos labios rojos y eyeliner, sinceramente.

Os cuento como he recreado el look.

Obviamente, para este tipo de eventos suelen usar maquillajes muy cubrientes o usan maquillaje en aerografo, con contorneados y correcciones bestiales aunque no se aprecien casi. Esta vez voy a usar la base de Revlon Photoready y el corrector de Illamasqua. Voy a fijarlo todo con los polvos Studio Careblend de MAC.

Las cejas las hago como siempre, las de Rita son un poco mas oscuras que las mías, y a parte con su pelo rubio contrastan mucho mas!

Aplico base de sombra de ojos (una muestra que tengo del Paintpot de MAC en el tono Painterly) y dejo unos segundos para que se asiente. Despues, con una brocha he aplicado la sombra morada como si estuviera aplicando eyeliner y con una brocha difuminadora he difuminado hacia arriba, para que quede un efecto ahumado. Para difuminar mas el contorno del ahumado, con otra brocha difuminadora un poco mas grande he cogido una sombra parecida al tono de mi piel (Omega de MAC) y he difuminado todo el contorno aun mas. Como iluminador debajo de la ceja, he usado un tono beige clarito (Bruleé de MAC). Para la línea inferior de pestañas, con una brocha "de lápiz" he aplicado la sombra morada y he difuminado ligeramente para que no hubiera trazos de líneas rectas.
En la línea superior de pestañas, con un poquito de sombra negra, la he difuminado, muy pegada a las pestañas para que cuando aplicase la pestañas postizas no se notasen y que quede un efecto más natural. Delineé la linea de agua con lápiz negro (Graphblack de MAC).

De colorete he usado un poco de Orgasm de Nars, y el iluminador de Catrice. No he hecho nada de contorno, porque ella parece que casi ni lleva.

Hi everyone! How you doing this Monday? Hope that everything is ok, and let´s gonna start the week with a lot of energy!

As you may know, yesterday was de Grammys. I always loved the Grammys (in fact, is my favourite music event, because it looks always so fancy!) But this last years it seems more to be all show business more than music, I miss the old days a lot.

This year was very amazing (all the performances, all the winners, I was very surprised) and I loved almost all the makeup looks! Ciara, Beyoncé, Lorde was stunning with those lips! And I even loved the soft makeup of Taylor Swift...

But one of the looks that I loved the most was the one that was wearing Rita Ora. That purple color on her eyes make them pop and look so beautiful! And the rest of the face is very balanced with the eyes, so I decided to recreate it today.

For these special events, normally all the famous people wear very high coverage foundations, to look extremely good and flawless. But I am going to do a normal skin routine, with my Revlon Photoready fountadion and Illamasqua concealer. I fix everything with Studio Careblend powder by MAC.

I keep my eyebrows as always. Rita´s eyebrows look a little bit darker than mine, but I´m sure is for the blond hair contrast.

For the eyes I used as a base some Painterly Paintpot by MAC. Then I started applying on the top lash line purple eyeshadow (#92 by MUFE) and then smoking it upwards until I covered almost the whole lid. Then, for melting more the purple color, I used a skin color eyeshadow (Omega by MAC) to blend the edges. I applied some purple on the lower lash line and rimmed my waterline (with the pencil Graphblack by MAC). I used a beige color to highlight my brow (Bruleé by MAC). For my upper lash line I used a little bit of black eyeshadow for blend later the false lashes.

For blusher I used Orgasm by NARS and Catrice highlighter for my cheeks.

On the lips, I used Angel lipstick, by MAC.
